The Life of Beautiful Hearts

Hi! Welcome to my first blog at Belles Hearts.

I thought I'd begin with a little explanation about the name behind the business. It's a bit of a story, so bear with me...

I am an avid reader; a bibliophile; a bookworm; a word addict; a language lover. Books are life. Since a young age, I have both lost and found myself in the depths of books.

One of my favourite authors (and you'll discover that I have many!) is Sir Terry Pratchett - an English author of fantasy novels.  




There is a series of books called Discworld; in the 33rd Discworld, a character called Adora Belle Dearheart was introduced; Adora Belle is a strong and fearless character with a sarcastic sense of humour. When she speaks, she is open, honest and direct.



With exception to her smoking like a chimney, I found her character to resonate with me; I absolutely LOVED her! I was her!

This is the first part  - Belle -  Belle's - Belles.

The last part -  heart - hearts

Now, Belle, in French (which I also love, and used to be able to speak quite fluently), means beautiful.

So there we are,  Belles Hearts, a play on Beautiful Hearts and one of my favourite characters.

In my blogs, I'm going to be sharing with you my life behind the scenes; the personal stuff; the me you don't get to see. My loves, my likes, my interests, my ups and my downs.
