Finding something that reflects our bodies positively after/during breast cancer is difficult.

As someone who has had a bilateral mastectomy and is now living the 'flat life', I embrace my body, my scars. They are nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to hide; I am proud of my strength, both physically and mentally.

I don't necessarily want pink ribbons everywhere (not that is anything wrong with pink ribbons at all, if that is how you vibe) I wanted to make something beautiful, elegant, so I came up with this embroidery pattern.

I modified the pattern from an original one with breasts - I removed them and added scars - I LOVE the result!

The one shown is on a 'natural' linen fabric, embroidered in a light purple thread - I can use any colour fabric for the background and any colour thread for the embroidery.

The embroidery is in a bamboo hoop which measures approximately 4" in diameter.

I can add ribbon in your choice of colour, or lace to the top to hang - just let me know what you'd like.

On the back of the ornament I use a thin wood round to give a neat, tidy finish. I am more than happy to burn wording: a quote, song lyrics, names, dates for you on it for no additional cost.
