Celebrate the lives of your loved ones with this beautiful handcrafted sugar skull ornament.
Your ornament is made from a slice of maple wood, which measures approximately 3.75”.
The beautiful sugar skull design is burned into the wood using the ancient art of Pyrography.
Your ornament is hand painted - (you can choose different colors than the ones shown if you prefer).
The process takes around 4-5 hours to complete.
The paints used are acrylics and iridescent acrylics - giving a lovely sheen when catching the light.
The colors of the flowers on this particular piece, represent the marigold - it is believed that the spirits of the dead visit the living during the celebration. Marigolds guide the spirits to their altars using their vibrant colors and pungent scent. Marigolds, or flowers in general, also represent the fragility of life.
On the back of your ornament, you can have names, dates, small quote….just let me know. Your ornament is finished with a screw loop and ribbon color of your choice.
