Totally handcrafted from beautiful curly maple, this ‘thumb book page holder’ is such a beautifully unique gift idea.

Such a great idea for those who want to free up a hand and perhaps hold onto a coffee (or wine) whilst reading; for those who, like me, struggle with their joints at holding a book open...

The holder is drawn and cut by hand, before having the design and wording burned onto it using the ancient art of pyrography.

The design is then hand painted and both sides lacquered and polished, and as you can see from the photos, the grain of the maple looks so pretty.

The size of the hole can be cut to various sizes - approximately 5/8”, 3/4”, 7/8” or 1” in diameter.

The ones shown are approximately 3/4” and my thumb measures 2.5” at the knuckle. (If you have a flexible tape measure, or a piece of string and a ruler, you’ll be able to measure if you need a larger or smaller size - please just message me if you’re unsure)

The designs shown are freehand drawn flowers and the other is an open book design.... I can do different designs, colors, names, quotes, lyrics, initials on both sides of the holder....so, if you have any questions or special requests, please don’t hesitate to get in touch - I’m always happy to help in any way I can.

A small burlap case and ribbon is also included with your holder.

As each holder is hand drawn and hand cut, (no lasers used here!) each will vary slightly in size and shape; there will also be variations in wood markings/grain/color, as it is an organic product.
